Register for BLT Environmental Day Camp for Kids
Press Release, Branford Land Trust
Registration is now open for the Branford Land Trust’s (BLT) popular hands-on Environmental Day Camp to be held on Monday, Aug. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Killam’s Point Conference Center.
This is an awesome experience for children ages 5 to 9 who will enjoy lots of hands-on activities, including touch tanks, woodland and Long Island Sound exploration, nature crafts, and more. A full day’s agenda, map, and list of what to bring will be mailed upon receipt of your registration and payment of $45 (additional children, same family $35), or $35 for BLT members. Scholarships available. Registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 9.
This is the 27th annual Environmental Day Camp for Kids, which is held each year at the beautiful Killam’s Point Conference Center, 31 Killam’s Point Road in Branford. It’s hosted by BLT, a local non-profit organization. Accredited by the Land Trust Alliance, BLT was established in 1967 to protect Branford’s open space and natural resources. Run by volunteers and supported by member families and businesses, BLT manages and protects over 1,000 acres in more than 130 parcels and holds conservation easements on another 400 acres in Branford.
