North Haven Firefighter Christopher Shea Recognized for ‘Hero to Hero’ Program
Press Release from Senate Republican Office
North Haven firefighter Christopher Shea was recognized for his work as a founder of the Hero to Hero program during a ceremony held at the Senate chamber in Hartford on May 1.
The Hero to Hero program helps special operators and other highly skilled military veterans transition to first-responder careers. Shea started the program after a distinguished career with the U.S. Navy Special Operations team.
Shea was joined by State Senator Paul Cicarella, State Senator Eric Berthel, and Anita Shea at the ceremony.
“It was a pleasure to meet Chris and hear his remarkable story. His work is a testament to his dedication to both our nation and the Town of North Haven,” Sen. Cicarella said. “Chris has been instrumental in creating a pathway for many skilled veterans to transition into first-responder roles through his Hero to Hero program. This is an important service during a time when our towns need more heroes in first-responder positions.”
