Entered into rest on April 29, 2024, John Joseph Jennings, 84, husband of Jo-Ann Prete Jennings, of Branford. Born in New Haven on July 14, 1939, son of the late Edward and Margaret Borkowski Jennings.

He was a proud member of the USMC, serving his country for over 30 years on both active and reserve duty. Prior to retirement, he worked for Armstrong and Pirelli Tire Co. for 37 years in sales at their Long Wharf location. He received his B.A. from the University of New Haven.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, John Joseph Jennings, Jr. (Larene), Clifford P. Jennings (Tammy), Melinda S. Hebrank, and Francine (David) Coss. He is the brother of Christine (Anthony) Petrillo and the late Edward Jennings, Barbara Mulvey, Regina Collins, and David Jennings. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Family and friends called on May 2 at the Maresca & Sons Funeral Home, 592 Chapel St., New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at Saint Michael Church, 29 Wooster Pl., New Haven.
