North Haven Garden Club Participates in Earth Day 2024
Press Release from Cindy Golia
The North Haven Garden Club participated in the North Haven Conservation Commission’s Earth Day 2024 celebration at the North Haven Parks and Recreation Center on April 20. Members of the North Haven Garden Club featured posters on pollination and also highlighted the Pollinator Pathway Project, in addition to how you can join and put your garden on the North Haven page.
Gerri Giordano put together a large map highlighting all of the club’s gardens, the town’s gardens, and many other gardens which requested to be part of the project. Posters of the "nip problem" and "balloon release" were also highlighted and loaded with information.
The Junior Garden Club had a table which highlighted all of its activities. The Junior Garden Club was started in 2019 and is going strong, meeting on Saturdays at the Faith United Methodist Church on Clintonville Road.
