The North Branford Town Council has awarded the Soundview Family YMCA with $5,000 out of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding pool set aside for nonprofits that serve the Town of North Branford.

Like other regional nonprofits, the Soundview YMCA suffered financial setbacks in fundraising and programming in association with the COVID-19 pandemic. The award was made at the March 19 meeting of the Town Council.

Located in Branford, Soundview Family YMCA opened its doors in 2010. They provide a wide array of programs including exercise, aquatics, summer camp, and family programming serving people of all ages and interests.
