A Huge Success
On Feb. 9, the Guilford High School (GHS) music department performed its 31st annual concert benefiting the Guilford Meals on Wheels program, which is a part of Guilford Interfaith Volunteers (GIV). It was a wonderful and successful event involving students, educators, and so many members of our community coming together to support Guilford residents in need. On behalf of GIV, I would like to thank Mark Gahm and the GHS music department, the performing GHS students, and the students helping serve snacks and collect donations for making this event possible.
Many thanks to Star Fish Market, Pasta Avest, Mary’s Culinary Classes, and Larry Santamaria for their generosity in donating delicious appetizers making the evening extra special. Thanks for the time and effort of the GIV staff and board for providing desserts and refreshments.
Our Meals on Wheels program depends on our dedicated volunteers, donations from our community, and the thoughtfulness of organizations such as the GHS music department. The generous donations from all the people attending this concert made this event a huge success.
