Thank You
The Guilford Preservation Alliance would like to thank the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CDOT) for their help in the installation of the historical photo panels at the Guilford train station. We are grateful to Jack Peak, Jaime Vega, and Craig Bordiere at CDOT for partnering with us, enabling the installation of the panels, and working out all our specific requests. We are indebted to Kevin Train, the facility manager for the Shoreline East stations, for the assistance he gave us during the actual installation. And we give great credit to Marco Zanette and his crew from Amazon Landscaping Design & Handyman Services, who, on a very chilly day, skillfully maneuvered those long, thin, plexiglass panels high up into place and safely secured them.
Everyone, do come down to the train station to see the historical displays, now on both sides of the tracks! It is a great stop on a walk down to the harbor or to the Whitfield State Museum, and it is yet another place to bring guests and learn some Guilford history from the old photographs and informational panels.
Thank you to everyone who collaborated with us on this project.
