Football Records a Strong Win While Ferrie, Others Named All-SCC
Football
Branford football hosted Jonathan Law on Nov. 15 and won 26-13. Nate Florio went 22 for 159 rushing yards with two touchdowns, while Akiel Lomotey went 21 for 107 yards with one rushing touchdown. On the passing side, Florio went two for five for two total yards (one interception), Jaeden Konesky went one for one with nine yards and one passing touchdown, and Cole Snider recorded three catches for 11 yards and one touchdown.
Boys’ Soccer
Sebastian Zuniga-Cordova was named to the All-SCC First Team for the Hornets, and Thomas Pont Strong earned Second Team honors.
Girls’ Soccer
Two girls from the Branford girls’ soccer team were named to the All-SCC Conference First Team this fall in Tess Ferrie and Bryce Infantino. Clara d’Amuri and Madeline Resendes were named to the Second Team.
Girls’ Volleyball
Representing Branford girls’ volleyball on the All-SCC First Team this season was Jenna DeFrancesco. Riley O’Brien was named to the Second Team.
Girls’ Cross Country
Violet Marrandino was named to the All-SCC Second Team for Branford girls’ cross country.
