Freda Reelected for Eighth Term
Incumbent First Selectman Mike Freda earned an eighth consecutive term as North Haven's chief executive. Running unopposed on the ballot, the Republican Freda received 4,434 votes. He will continue to sit alongside his incumbent colleagues, Sally Buemi and William Pieper, on the Board of Selection who were also reelected to their positions.
With 4,153 votes, Stacey Yarbrough will retain her position as the Town Clerk. All incumbent members of the Board of Finance, Robert Zambrano, Timothy Doheny, and Nancy Barrett, have retained their seats on the board, earning 3,176, 3,273, and 1,746 votes, respectively.
Current Board of Police Commissioners Vice Chairman Robin Wilson snagged 3,040 votes to secure the position of Police Commissioner, while fellow board member Marc Calafiore earned 1,732 votes to be reelected as well. Board of Fire Commissioners Patricia Brown, Jennifer Caldwell, and Mary Jane Mulligan all retain their positions, with 2,505, 1,595, and 3,204 votes respectively.
Paul Weymann and Brian Cummings were reelected to their spots on the Planning and Zoning Commission, receiving 3,304 and 3,534 votes. They will be joined by new member Kenneth Quick, who got 1,743 votes, and John Troiano, who received 3,814 votes to fill a two-year vacancy on the commission.
