Some friends recently ate at Sherkaan Indian Street Food, 65 Broadway, New Haven, and brought home some leftovers for me. They were delicious. I checked out their website and found they are planning a Friendsgiving special for the fourth year in a row. The take-home feast includes spiced and yogurt-marinated turkey breast, aloo (potato) masala, makhani (aka butter chicken sauce) mac & cheese, roasted brussels sprouts and paneer, and whipped and spiced sweet potatoes. Orange cardamom bread pudding and banana cream pie desserts are available as well. You have to place preorders by Friday, Nov. 17 for pickup on Tuesday, Nov. 21 or Wednesday, Nov. 22.
