Old Saybrook Field Hockey Edges Out East Lyme; Boys’ Soccer Notches Two Victories

Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook football traveled to Rockville on Oct. 27 and took a 49-6 defeat.
Field Hockey
The Old Saybrook field hockey team wrapped up the regular season at home on Oct. 28 with a 2-1 win vs. East Lyme. Junior captain Ayla D’Anna scored the first goal with one minute remaining in the first quarter on an assist by junior Lila Cadley.
Cadley scored what would be the game-winner midway through the second quarter on a breakaway and 1-on-1 with the goalie. Junior goalkeeper Erin Fiorelli had four saves on the day. The Rams finished the regular season with a record of 13-2-1.
Girls’ Soccer
The Old Saybrook girls’ soccer team had one game last week, traveling to Cromwell on Oct. 28 and taking a 6-0 loss in the contest.
Boys’ Soccer
Boys’ soccer traveled to Norwich Free Academy on Oct. 23 and came away with a 5-2 win. Two days later, the team hosted Morgan to close out the regular season and triumphed by a 2-0 final.
