Experience Counts
I believe experience counts. Would you want to fly in a plane with an inexperienced pilot? Would you want your teeth drilled by an inexperienced dentist? Or would you want to have surgery performed by a surgeon with no experience at all? That’s the question you need to ask yourself during this election season in Clinton. On the one hand, you have the Republican team that is being led by seasoned participants. Former members of Planning and Zoning, the Board of Finance, the Economic Development Commission, Board of Assessment appeals, Capital Expenditure Committee, the Board of Selectmen, the Water Pollution Commission, Park and Rec, Clinton Placemakers. You name it, the Republican team of candidates for Town Council has experienced it, as well as having multiple years of experience on the fledgling Town Council.
On the other hand, the opposing party is running candidates who have experience on the Economic Development Commission. That’s it. That’s all. One candidate has never participated in anything Town-related before. Does that qualify that person for a seat on the most important Board in Clinton? I believe the answer is no.
On Election Day, please vote for the team that understands how to keep Clinton a strong, fiscally responsible entity and exemplifies an experienced commitment to making Clinton the best it can be today, tomorrow, and always.
Vote Republican, vote Row B.
