Vision That Promotes Progress
As the Chair of the Clinton Democratic Town Committee, I'd like to share how proud I am of our Democratic town council candidates in this upcoming municipal election. Brian Roccapriore and Hank Teskey have already knocked on over 1,500 doors and plan to reach an additional 800 voters before Tuesday, Nov. 7. And Hank and Brian are not limiting their conversations to only Democrats; they are also talking to unaffiliated voters and some Republicans.
In a small town like Clinton, the attention of Town Council members is focused on local matters rather than national politics. Currently, the main distinction between the two parties at the table is that Republicans are satisfied with maintaining the current course of the town, while Democrats want to realize the improvements that the residents of Clinton are asking them for. And notably, Republicans are comfortable with raising taxes for future expenditures, whereas Democrats believe that our rainy-day fund is much higher than it needs to be to maintain our town's excellent bond rating.
If you're looking for a vision that promotes progress beyond what we've seen in the last four years, I encourage you to join me and vote for Row A on Nov. 7. Your vote will help determine the future of our town.
