Boys’ Soccer

Morgan boys’ soccer started the week on the road at Valley Regional on Oct. 16, earning a 3-1 victory. On Oct. 18, Westbrook came to town and the Huskies won 4-3. On Oct. 20, Morgan traveled to Old Lyme and grabbed a 6-4 victory.

Girls’ Volleyball

On Oct. 17, Morgan girls’ volleyball hosted Coginchaug and started the week with a 3-2 victory. The next day, the team played host to Portland and won 3-0. On Oct. 20, the Huskies traveled to Cromwell and collected a 3-1 victory.

Girls’ Soccer

Girls’ soccer hosted Valley Regional on Oct. 17 and won 3-0. Huskies goal scorers were Lili Luciani, Maeve Madura, and Kate Gardner. Samantha Way recorded five saves.

On Oct. 20, the team played host to Old Lyme and narrowly won 3-2. Madura scored two goals in the contest (including the game-winner with five seconds remaining in the contest), and Sadie Passante added a score of her own. Way had two saves in net.

Field Hockey

Morgan field hockey hit the road to Old Saybrook on Oct. 16, falling 8-0. Two days later, the Huskies remained on the road and went to Windsor, where they grabbed a 1-0 victory. The team wrapped up the week on Oct. 21, traveling to Waterford and losing 3-0.

Boys’ Cross Country

On Oct. 19, Morgan boys’ cross country competed in the Shoreline Conference Championship, where they finished 10th as a team with a score of 279 points. Owen Lombardi finished the race in 41st place, recording a time of 18:57.80. Wyatt Luke grabbed 51st (19:59.10) and Lucas Hoadley (20:34.50) took 58th. Other Morgan finishers included Anthony Strunjo (65th place, 22:23.80), Andrew Auletta (66th place, 22:31.70), Robby Estabrook (67th place, 22:56.20), and Peter Fortin-Roth (68th place, 26:07.20).

Girls’ Cross Country

The Morgan girls’ cross country team participated in the Shoreline Conference Championship on Oct. 19. Natalie Estabrook took 24th place with a time of 21:59.20. Gavin Gersz (23:10.60) took 36th place. Shania Weisse finished the race in 59th place with a time of 27:39.60.
