Nancy E. Gilbert
On Sept. 12, Nancy E. Gilbert, 76, a longtime resident of Stoneham, Massachusetts, formerly of Guilford, passed away at Cambridge Health Alliance Hospital, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Nancy was born in Boston, on July 27, 1947, daughter of the late Herbert G. Gilbert and Margaret (Curtin) Gilbert. She is survived by her sister Judith Gilbert Breslin and her husband William J. Breslin III of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her niece and nephews: William J. Breslin IV and his
wife Norma, Margaret B. Farrell and her husband Christopher and Meredith B. Oglensky and her husband Adam; and great-nieces and nephews: William J. Breslin V, Joaquin J. Breslin, Michael J.
Breslin and Manus J. Breslin, Joseph B. Oglensky, Sloane C. Oglensky, and Liam A. Farrell. Nancy was predeceased by her very dear friend Donald Pike, who passed away in 2007.
Nancy is a 1965 graduate of Guilford High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Russell Sage College. Before retirement, she was a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and volunteering with the Stoneham Senior Center.
Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, to be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery, Hubbard Road, Guilford.
