Howard Aldon Manville
Howard Aldon Manville of Palm Harbour, Florida, formally Guilford, passed away peacefully on July 31. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline Miller Manville.
He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Gladys Manville. He leaves behind his three children, whom he loved very much, John M. Walsh Jr. (Kim) of Guilford, Jody Manville Sceery (Chris) of East Greenwich, RI, and H. Scott Manville (Tracy) of North Branford. He also leaves behind his sister Mimi Palmer (Charles) of Guilford; his partner Gloria Daidone, of Palm Harbour, as well as five grandchildren: Mackenzie Walsh, Aidan Walsh, Claudia Sceery, Sean Sceery, and Gabriella Manville; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Aldon graduated from West Haven High School; then, he went on to Worcester Academy. He attended Northeastern University, where he played hockey, and completed his degree at Southern Connecticut State University. He also served in the United State Army from 196 to 1963 as a SP4 Specialist and was stationed in Germany.
Friends are invited from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13. to the Hawley Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 1315 Boston Post Road, Guilford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, at Saint George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
