North Branford Recognizes Retirees

At the North Branford Town Council meeting on July 18, several recent retirees from town service were recognized with plaques thanking them for their dedicated time serving the taxpayers of North Branford.
On hand to receive recognition from the town council and North Branford Town Manager Michael Downes were Helen Glassen, former Atwater librarian who served 30 years and retired in 2018; Matt Canelli, former chief of police who served the town for 48 years and retired in 2018; and Michelle Knockwood, former purchasing assistant for 16 years retiring in 2022.
In addition to those present, the following individuals were recognized at the meeting and were sent their plaques: Debbie Verrillo, Edward Smith librarian, 34 years; Ron Ferrucci, police officer, 20 years; Kurt Weiss, town engineer, 34 years; Bob Hull, library director, 41 years; Bob Grimm, public works, 31 years; Barbara Fucci, tax collector, 29 years; Cort Sperry, police lieutenant, 26 years; Dave Madoule, police officer, 25 years; Diane Ramsey, dispatcher, 28 years.
