A Spectacular Day
It was a spectacular day on June 25 for the first Celebrate Saybrook Street Party! It was epic!
Many people expressed gratitude to us for hosting the event, and we’d like to send those good feelings right back out there. We are thankful for this enthusiastic community that we call home, who came out in droves, along with people from all over the state, to dance, shop, eat, and party with us.
We are thankful for the excellent team we have here in town, from our community partners to our first responders to the army of town employees who made this possible. A special thanks to Police Chief Michael Spera, Economic Development Commission Director Jennifer Donohue, Park and Recreation staff Ray Allen and Jona Paradis, Chamber Executive Director Judy Sullivan, The Kate’s Executive Director Brett Elliott, and our Land Use Director Chris Costa.
We are thankful to all the food vendors, local restaurants, Main Street businesses, crafters, retailers, and brewers who signed on to support a new event.
We are thankful for the wonderful entertainers who created a joyful sense of festivity.
And last but certainly not least, we are thankful that we were blessed with beautiful weather to welcome everyone to Old Saybrook.
See you next year! We can’t wait!
