Gratitude for Support, Generosity, Effort
On behalf of Madison Cultural Arts and the 4th of July Concert on the Green in Madison Committee, we want to thank the town of Madison and the shoreline communities for their support of the concert held on July 1. It was an inspiring evening from start to finish and continues to be an essential part of Madison’s Independence Day traditions, along with the fireworks and parade.
The concert was underwritten by our local businesses and civic organizations, townspeople, attendees, and the town of Madison. The concert would not go on without their generosity. We also received support from Madison Public Schools, Beach and Recreation, Emergency Management, facilities, police, Youth and Family Services, Public Works, as well as the North Madison Volunteer Fire Company. Each group pitched in to enthusiastically do their part to ensure a great event. The concert was coordinated and pulled together by a small but hard-working and dedicated, all-volunteer committee - they are superstars!
The collective effort was rewarded by the attendance of so many shoreline residents and their friends and families. The clear enjoyment on people’s faces is what makes this so special. The Committee is already thinking about 2024 and can’t wait to deliver another terrific musical performance. If you want to know more or volunteer to help, feel free to visit our website at madisonculturalarts.org, Facebook @mcamadct, or email us at madisonculturalarts@gmail.com.
With musical notes from the 1812 Overture still ringing in our minds, we express our gratitude for everyone’s support, generosity, and effort. It is what makes this special community what it is!
