Morgan Boys’ Lacrosse and Boys’ Tennis Grab Victories; Girls’ Lacrosse Splits the Week
Baseball
Huskies baseball suffered a tough week, posting a pair of losses to bring their season record to 5-8. On April 24, the team traveled to neighboring Old Saybrook in a 2-3 loss. They hit the road on April 28 to face Coginchaug in a 5-10 defeat.
Boys’ Tennis
Boys’ tennis picked up a win on April 24, defeating Westbrook on the road 5-2. In singles, Joseph Morse won 6-4 and 6-1, Matt Lopez went 6-0 and 7-5, Steven Kinser won 6-0 and 6-3, and Nicholas Bausch won 6-3, 2-6, and 7-6. Doubles pair Erik Barrera and Noah Borkowski won two 6-2 matches. The Huskies are 5-1.
Boys’ Lacrosse
Boys’ lacrosse picked up a pair of wins last week to snap a two-game skid. On April 25, the team hosted SPCHS in a 13-9 victory. On April 27, they traveled to Deep River and defeated Valley Regional 9-4. The Huskies are now 6-3 for the season.
Softball
Softball split the week, taking both a win and a loss on the road. On April 26, the Huskies recorded a win via forfeit. The team hit the road on April 27 to face Middletown in a 1-10 defeat. They are now 2-9 on the season.
Girls’ Lacrosse
Girls’ lacrosse split the week, recording a loss on the road and a win at home. On April 27, they hosted Valley Regional for a 14-3 win. On April 29, they traveled to Granby, falling 3-12 to their hosts. The team is now 3-7 for the season.
Girls’ Tennis
On April 24, Morgan girls’ tennis hosted Westbrook and took a 0-7 loss. On April 28, they played host to Old Lyme and took another 0-7 defeat.
