North Haven Softball Wins Three Straight, While Boys’ Lacrosse Grabs a Win
Softball
The North Haven softball team faced Foran at home on April 10 and won a closely contested 3-2 game. On April 12, the Nighthawks recorded a 7-0 shutout win at home over Daniel Hand before grabbing a 9-4 win at East Haven on April 14.
Boys’ Lacrosse
Nighthawks boys’ lacrosse played one game last week, grabbing a 14-7 win at Hamden on April 11.
Baseball
North Haven baseball took a 5-4 home loss vs. Hamden on April 10 before traveling to Sheehan on April 12 and falling 12-6. On April 14, the Nighthawks traveled to Jonathan Law and grabbed a 3-0 victory.
Boys’ Tennis
North Haven boys’ tennis took a 7-0 loss at home vs. Fairfield Prep on April 10. The Nighthawks then traveled to Amity on April 11 and fell 7-0 before hosting Notre Dame-West Haven on April 13 and taking a 6-1 defeat. In this match, the second doubles team of Nathan Oh/Andrew Bautz grabbed a win (6-2, 6-3).
Girls’ Tennis
North Haven girls’ tennis faced Lauralton Hall on the road on April 10 and won 6-1 before facing Amity at home on April 11 and taking a 7-0 loss. On April 14, the Nighthawks traveled to Cheshire and took a 6-1 loss.
Girls’ Lacrosse
On April 10, North Haven girls’ lacrosse traveled to West Haven and narrowly fell by a score of 15-14.
The Nighthawks welcomed back Captain Sarah Herrera to the lineup after missing the first two games of the season with a lower leg injury. North Haven built an early lead with scores from juniors Maddie Karavas (six goals), Cat Bianchi, and Sydney Pitcher. Sophomore Kendall Washington, junior Nola Coyle, and Bianchi added goals in the second half, and sophomore goalie Emily Shea notched 12 saves. The team also had strong defensive efforts from seniors Aisling Pretty, Ava Huntley, Theresa Consorte, and junior Kylie Pollard.
North Haven then traveled to Foran on April 12 and lost 16-5.
