The East Haven Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery/home invasion that took place at a Maple Street address at 9:45 a.m. on April 14.
The suspect, who posed as a package delivery employee, knocked on the door of the residence and told the homeowner that the package he had belonged to him. He then immediately brandished a black handgun and attempted to enter the residence. The homeowner can be seen pushing away the suspect, who then fled the residence in a Dodge Ram.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black “Vans” shirt and an orange reflective vest.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or the whereabouts of the truck is asked to call investigators at 203-468-3820.
