Books and Bagels and Brunch and Bloom
Lary Bloom will return to Books & Bagels at Chester’s Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek to talk about his latest book, I’ll Take New Haven, on Sunday, April 23 at noon.
At this event, Chester will celebrate its almost native son even after he moved away—actually because he moved away and then wrote memorably about that. Bloom, a long-time Chester resident and CBSRZ member, invented Books & Bagels back in the 90s. Bloom’s new book is a tribute to the often-belittled city that he now calls home.
Books & Bagels is free and open to the public. Books will be sold at the event; anyone who wishes to buy one in advance may call the CBSRZ office at 860-526-8920 and arrange to do so. To assure adequate seating, RSVP’s would be appreciated, with an email addressed to office@cbsrz.org with the names of people planning to attend. The event will also be streamed on Zoom; anyone interested in joining on Zoom should call the CBSRZ office for details.
