Maddie Cooper, a freshman at East Haven High School, recently took third place in the 126-pound CIAC girls’ wrestling championship this year, and won first place in the 2023 New England Youth Championship in Fitchburg, Massachusetts where she wrestled in the girls’ 14u 135 division. Maddie went 4-0 on the day with three falls and one win by decision.
