The Branford boys’ ice hockey team began state tournament play as the #6 seed as they faced #11 seed South Windsor in the opening round for Division II on March 7. The Hornets grabbed a 3-1 win in the contest. They then faced #14 seed Trumbull in the quarterfinals, securing the win by a score of 5-2.
