A True Community Event
On Feb. 15, the Guilford High Schoo (GHS) music department put on a special 30th-anniversary concert benefitting Meals on Wheels. It was an amazing extravaganza of every division of the music department, along with dancing, appetizers, desserts, and refreshments. It was wonderful to see multiple generations mingling, dancing, and enjoying all the performances together. A true community event.
On behalf of Guilford Interfaith Volunteers (GIV), I would like to express my gratitude to Mark Gahm and the entire talented GHS music department, as well as the GHS students who assisted in serving food, cleaning up, and collecting donations.
Many thanks also go to Amandas Healthy Cooking, Pasta Avest, Lookin for Cookin (Mary's Culinary Classes), and Larry Santamaria for donating delicious appetizers. It is a privilege to work with our dedicated GIV staff and board, who donated their time as well as desserts and refreshments. Thanks to the generosity of the people attending the concert, who made it the most successful MOW benefit concert in 30 years.
