The Valley Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Essex, Deep River, and Chester. • No arrests were made.

• A 75 year-old East Lyme man was issued a citation at 3:06 p.m. for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway after he fell asleep while operating a 2003 Dodge Caravan, drifted off the roadway, and struck a wire rope guard rail and large rocks off the right shoulder. No injuries were reported at the scene.
