Branford Police Incident Report for May 3
The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Tuesday, May 3Senior correspondent Jason J. • A 34 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 8:28 a.m. and charged with breach of peace.
• A 37 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 10:40 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, engaging in pursuit, larceny in the fourth degree, and reckless driving.
• A 42 year-old North Branford woman was arrested at 10:45 a.m. and charged with breach of peace and violation of a protective order.
• A 51 year-old Farmington man was arrested at 10:40 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree and robbery in the third degree.
• A 36 year-old man of Briarwood Lane was arrested at 5:30 p.m. and charged with breach of peace.
• A 24 year-old Orange man was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with breach of peace.
• A 36 year-old man of a Leetes island Road apartment was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:56 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension.
• A 22 year-old man of Cadwell Place was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3 p.m. for engaging in pursuit, reckless driving, failure to obey a stop sign, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.
• From April 27 to May 3 Branford police also issued 31 citations to motorists for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, 17 citations for failure to obey a control signal, seven citations for failure to obey a stop sign, five citations for traveling unreasonably fast, five citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and two citations for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
