Deb Heinrich Will Leave Post Next Month
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Deb Heinrich, former state representative for Madison and a portion of Guilford, will be leaving the administration next month. Heinrich was named to the cabinet-level post of nonprofit liaison, the first of its kind in the nation, when Malloy took office last year.
“I am extremely grateful to Deb for her commitment and service to the state,” said Governor Malloy. “Connecticut’s nonprofits play an important role in our quality of life in Connecticut, and Deb’s work has been particularly instrumental in opening dialogue and improving our relationship with nonprofit community providers.”
“I deeply appreciate Governor Malloy’s support of the nonprofit community. He truly values the state’s relationship with these organizations that are on the frontlines in getting programs and services to residents,” Heinrich said. She agreed to serve the first year as the nonprofit liaison to establish the office and develop the administration’s framework for working with Connecticut’s nonprofit community.
