Page Hardware's Grand Reopening
Don’t miss out on all the fun this weekend at Page Hardware!
After renovating and remodeling the store for more than a year, the Guilford store is hosting a fun filled weekend to celebrate.
According to owner Andrew Page, the festivities begin on Friday morning, with the store staying open to 8 p.m., providing food in the “plant show room.”
Saturday is the big day for events, Page said. At 10 a.m. Roberta Lombardi from The Elegant Occasion will be cooking for residents. Then at noon, owner of Branford Woodwind’s, chef, and cookbook author Silvio Suppa will be cooking and will be book signing.
All three days, Page said there would be a bucket sale with proceeds going towards charities in town.
“All three days we will be having what we refer to as a bucket sale and the customers can buy a one dollar bucket and fill it up in the store and get a pretty substantial discount off, but the important thing is that for each day we will take those sales from the buckets and donate them to three local charities- one’s going to be the Guilford Land Conservation Trust because they just brought some property in Westwoods and they need a little help paying for it. Another day the money we will be donating to the Guilford Welfare Department for their fuel oil program that they run and then one day we will donate all the money from the bucket sale to the Guilford VFW.”
Representatives from Guilford Interfaith Ministries will also be selling the stores new 2012 t-shirts, with proceeds of those sales going toward the that particular group.
The weekend celebration will end at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Page is gearing up for all the events and looks forward to having residents see the renovated store.
“We hope we get a lot of residents participating this weekend,” he said.
