Finding fun family outings during the cold winter months can be challenging so the Healthy Community Healthy Youth initiative has a solution.

On Sunday afternoon Jan. 27, HCHY of the town's Youth and Family Services agency has teamed with AMF Saybrook Lanes to offer two sessions of free family bowling. The first session is from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the second session is from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. To participate, you'll need to make a reservation.

To reserve a spot in either Sesssion 1 or Session 2, call AMF Saybrook Lanes at 860-388-3488 and mention HCHY and your preferred session.

Y&FS volunteers will be at the family event collecting canned goods to help re-stock the Food Pantry shelves.

AMF Saybrook Lanes is located at 925 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook.
