Tonight the Old Saybrook Volunteer Fire Department is holding a Recruit Night Open House at the firehouse at 310 Main Street. The evening will begin at 7 p.m. with demonstrations and a discussion of the role and obligations of those who choose to join the department's rolls.

Department candidates must be 18 years and older and be residents of Old Saybrook.
