Tonight Old Saybrook's Planning Commission and Zoning Commission plan a joint meeting to hear the recommendations of a final report of the Route One East Study Committee.

The group decided as aprt of their plan to brand the area as Mariner's Way as a unifying theme to link the Main Street area of Route One to the development along Ferry Road to the river. The plan offers concepts and ideas for spurring improvements and redevelopment from the train station to Ferry Point.

THe Committee will present its findings to the two Commissions in a public meeting that begins tonight at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall First Floor Conference Room. The public is invited to attend.
