Smarter Balance Test Date Delayed
Students at Guilford High School who had plans to take the new Smarter Balance Field Test this week, will have to hold off.
The smarter Balance Assessment Consortium, had planned to begin field testing on March 18, but has decided instead, to push that date back to March 25
th
, to provide more time to “iron out any glitches.”
Three million students, in 20,000 different schools throughout the country will be participating in the Smarter Balance field testing, so this decision is affecting over 20 states including Connecticut.
“We are prepared to go in Guilford,” explained Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Freeman. “We will adjust our schedules and move forward.”
