Working in Concert
Many thanks go to all who came to Salt Meadow Park to celebrate summer on June 3! It was a sunny, fun-filled summer afternoon filled with soccer and Frisbee games, free music by The Shoreline Connection, and several nature walks by local experts.
Thanks go to our Board of Selectmen, Beach & Recreation Commission, and town staff who spent funds, time, and effort to make the event run smoothly today and on a regular basis contribute much to make Salt Meadow Park a beautiful place to be. Together, we’ve successfully created a place where conservation and recreation work in concert to provide town residents with one of the nicest parks on the shoreline.
Special appreciation goes to The Shoreline Connection for providing music and to Jerry Connolly, Patrick Lynch, and Emily Alletzhauser for guiding nature walks for everyone.
Thanks go to members of the Salt Meadow Park Committee for all pitching in to make the event a success: Bill Piggott, Joe Walker, Bill McCullough, Warren Hartmann, Ginny Raff, Pat Melady, Mary Pat Nardino, Al Goldberg, and Heather Crawford, from Madison’s Conservation Commission.
Most important, our appreciation goes to the ongoing outstanding efforts of Scot Erskine, Mike Ott, and other town staff who make Salt Meadow and all of our parks and places in Madison beautiful. They work every day to make our town a great place to live.
