Blackstone Library is Big Y’s February Community Bag Beneficiary
Press Release, James Blackstone Memorial Library
Branford’s James Blackstone Memorial Library has been selected as a beneficiary of the Big Y Community Bag Program for the month of February.
The Big Y Community Bag Program, which launched in January 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
The Blackstone Library was selected as the February beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Big Y located at 1060 West Main Street. The Library will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during February, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“We appreciate Big Y’s efforts to support the local community and are so excited to be selected for February,” said Katy McNicol, Library Director. “Every donation to the library makes a difference, and helps fulfill the library’s mission to inspire, educate, and connect our community every single day.”
