Boghos Mooradian
Boghos Mooradian passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Dec. 31 . He was known as the “Voice of Guilford” for Guilford High School (GHS). He is the loving husband of the late Marie W. Mooradian. Boghos was born in Cleveland on Dec. 4, 1927, the son of the late Kachadoor Mooradian and Elizabeth (Blouman) Mooradian.
He survived by his daughters, Lynda Stannard and Connie Leckey; his son Christopher Mooradian and his wife Mary Lavin Mooradian; and his late daughter Kathleen Sullivan. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren: Kelly Spiers, Shannon Claussen, Devin Sullivan, Sarah and Emily Mooradian, Joshua and Jayson Leckey; and nine precious great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mooradian proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force. He worked as a salesman for the Hoeganaes Corp. for many years. His humor could light up a room. And he was one of the original founders of the Guilford youth football program and the “Voice of Guilford” for 40 years calling games for GHS.
The memorial service will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at Christ Chapel, 1185 Durham Road, Madison.
