Janet M. Carroll of Madison died on June 14 with her family by her side at the Genesis Madison House. She was the widow of the late William F. Carroll, Sr. of Madison and the daughter of John J. Mikelkewitch and Victoria C. (DeBarber) Mikelkewitch of Seymour. Janet is survived by her children William F. Carroll, Jr., John P. Carroll, Jean (Carroll) Foran, Bethanne (Carroll) McNulty and husband Daniel, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She was a graduate of the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing and received her School Nurse Practitioner degree from UConn in 1981. Jan was employed by the Madison VNA and was a devoted school nurse and athletic trainer in the Madison school systems.

Calling hours will be Monday, June 24 at Swan Funeral Home in Madison from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret RC Church and burial to follow at West Cemetery in Madison.
