Adam Joseph Torcia, the son of Allan and Donna Schroeder and Anthony and Valerie Torcia of Scarsdale, New York, is engaged to wed Erica Marie Sanchez, the daughter of Gail and Julio Sanchez of Groton.

The future groom is a 1992 graduate of Guilford High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Westfield State University in 1996.

The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Robert E. Fitch High School in Groton and is currently employed in the hospitality industry at Foxwoods Casino, as is her fiancé. She is a former Mystic resident.

An August 2013 wedding is planned.
