Susan Elizabeth Meshako, 55, of Pine Orchard, died on Feb. 24.  She was an inspiration to the friends and family who survive her, including her parents, Joseph and Catherine Meshako of Branford and East Haven; her devoted and loving companion, John Ryan of Branford; and her best friend and little sister, Kathy Meshako of East Lyme.

A graduate of Branford High School, Susan went on to obtain her RN from Quinnipiac University and then her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University, where she enjoyed mathematics.  After working her way up the ranks at Aetna Insurance Company, she co-founded a successful consulting business with her ex-husband, John Trustman, executing contracts for Fortune 500 clientele.  In addition to her work, she loved spending time with her German shepherd Cody, and she enjoyed the ocean and skiing in Colorado.  She will be greatly missed.

A memorial gathering/reception will be held at 18 Halstead Lane, Branford, on Saturday March 2, from 1 to 5 p.m.  Parking and shuttle service will be available at the Pine Orchard Club, 2 Club Parkway, Branford.
