Guilford Police Incident Report for July 28
The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.Wednesday, July 28From July 22 through July 28 the Guilford Police Department received 261 calls for service. Police made four arrests, investigated 19 motor vehicle accidents, issued nine infractions, two written warnings and eight verbal warnings. Police made six child safety seat installations.
• A 35 year-old New Britain resident was charged on a warrant with two counts of sixth-degree larceny.
• A caller reported a brown bottle with a cord sticking out of it, 5 Durham Road, west side, 11:56 a.m. The Dept. of Public Works picked up the bottle and disposed of it.
• Family dispute, South Fair Street, 2:57 p.m.
• A suspected shoplifter was reported at 77 Whitfield Street, 4:55 p.m.
• Criminal mischief, youths by tennis court shooting off fireworks, possibly starting a small fire, Mohawk Trail, 10:46 p.m.
